Dual Base System
Our standard base features upgraded casters and improvements that deliver exceptional support and functionality. Designed for smooth surfaces, it efficiently moves users indoors and outdoors.
Height Adjustment
A single button triggers the gas spring, allowing for effortless height adjustments. Releasing the button securely locks the height in place
Quantifiable Progress
Forget the old way of counting tiles! Available as an option on every Pacer base, Rifton’s new odometer makes it simple to track progress in any environment, measuring in both feet and meters.
Easy Portability
Effortless Precision in Positioning
The single-column upper frame features a locking gas spring that facilitates height adjustments along the indexed column. By pressing a button, you can release the gas spring, allowing for smooth height changes. Once the button is released, it locks securely at the chosen height. The column is indexed to allow for quick and accurate adjustments tailored to each user's specific height needs.
The Multi-Position Saddle (MPS) is the optimal device for pelvic positioning. It is adjustable in five distinct directions to accommodate the unique posture needs of each user. Designed for seamless integration, the MPS easily attaches to both dynamic and standard upper frames.
By using the fluid height adjustments of the MPS and upper frame, the seat can be lowered sufficiently to facilitate a transfer from a seated position.
Once the transfer is completed, caregivers raise the upper frame to bring the user into an upright position.
With the tilt adjustment on the MPS, caregivers position the user's pelvis to achieve the most effective gait pattern.
Using the height adjustment on the MPS, caregivers lift the user's pelvis to the ideal height for weight-bearing and taking steps.
The Benefits
Enhanced Mobility
The Pacer gait trainer aids in proper pelvis positioning and dynamic movement, which are crucial for effective gait training.
Natural Gait Encouragement
Using a specialized gait trainer like the Pacer facilitates dynamic weight-bearing and shifting, promoting a more natural walking pattern and easier stepping.
Versatile Fit
The large dynamic Pacer can be customized to fit users of various abilities in any setting, enhancing accessibility and progress.
Adaptive Design
The Pacer offers options to choose from dynamic or standard upper frames combined with various bases, catering to the unique needs of each user.
Goal-Oriented Progress
The Pacer's flexible configurations and robust design support continual user progress, helping them achieve their mobility goals.
Critical Pelvis Positioning
Dynamic gait training emphasizes the importance of a well-positioned pelvis, which is essential for successful walking rehabilitation.
Dynamic Movement
Walking is inherently dynamic. As we navigate space, we execute subtle yet crucial shifts both vertically and laterally. It's essential to support this dynamic movement during gait training instead of impeding it.
Utility Base
Navigate easily over thresholds, thick carpets, or even outdoor terrains like gravel and grass with the large-wheeled utility base. This enhancement expands accessibility to places previously unattainable.
Go Minimal
For higher-functioning users, the Pacer chest pad combined with handlebars offers a lightweight setup. These components, available in small, medium, and large sizes, facilitate easy transfers and swift adjustments.
Reverse the MPS
The MPS is engineered to support the reversal of the saddle, facilitating gait practice with the frame positioned at the back.
Note: It is advisable to use the standard base for posterior positioning. Reversing the utility base complicates steering and disables the directional lock feature.

Fixed Design |
Pivot Design |
|
| For the great majority of users, the Support Station is used in its fixed design configuration with Kneeboard. In this stationary, stand-alone configuration, the comfortable Kneeboard provides leverage for the user during transfer. The padded Trunk Board can be set at the desired height and angle. The user can remain in the upright, forward-leaning position for clothing adjustment and hygiene care or transfer to a rolling commode or shower chair, then return to previous seating. | For clients with adequate lower-body mobility, the Support Station can be used in its pivot design without the Kneeboard. In this configuration, it aids transfer from wheelchair to a fixed toilet. While in the horizontal position, the padded trunk board can pivot 180 degrees. Supported by the Trunk Board, the user can then move his or her feet in an arc to pivot nearer toward toilet. The hand slots can then be used to lower to the toilet. The pivot configuration is ideal for users with significant lower-body control and mobility. But for most users, the fixed design will be the appropriate choice. Refer to the Product Guide for further directions regarding installation for both uses of the Rifton Support Station. |
